Private graveside services will be held at 1 P.M., Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Mitchellville Cemetery in Mitchellville, Iowa, with a Celebration of Life luncheon to follow at Mitchellville Community Center from 2-5 P.M.
Sherry was born to Orville and Hazel Potter in Carroll, Iowa. She graduated from Southeast Polk High School in 1968 and later moved to the Texas area where she met the love of her life Roxanne Reed.
Sherry worked for Stewart and Stevenson, as a parts saleswoman for many years until her retirement.
Sherry was an avid follower of the WNBA and loved watching tennis matches. She was involved in the Texas Billiards League for many years.
Sherry was the proud owner and operator of Potters DX gas station for several years in the Altoona area.
She was preceded in death by her Father; Orville Potter of Mitchellville, Iowa.
She is survived by her life partner; Roxanne Reed of Dripping Springs, TX, mother; Hazel Potter of Mitchellville, IA, sister; Linda Scudillo of Cleona, PA, brothers; Mike (Deb) Potter of Altoona, and Dave (Lisa) Potter of Bondurant, Iowa.
