William “Chip” Lee St. Peter Jr., age 42, passed away on March 19, 2026. A funeral service to honor Chip's life will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 11:00am at Ankeny Funeral Home. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00am at Ankeny Funeral Home.
Chip was born on September 21, 1983, in Fort Myers, Florida. He spent his early years enjoying tee-ball and Little League baseball, where his father proudly coached his teams. He later lived in Panama City before eventually making his way to Iowa.
From a young age, Chip was known as an outgoing and energetic kid who loved being around family and friends. He loved horseback riding and carried a free-spirited nature throughout his life. Chip was someone who truly loved helping others—no matter the situation—yet remained fiercely independent and rarely asked for help himself. His strength and character left a lasting impression on those around him, and he was deeply loved and admired by the friends he made, even during the most challenging times in his life.
Chip is survived by his father, William St. Peter Sr.; his sisters, Shawna (James) Krivolavy, Kerri Ann St. Peter, and Brandy (Kenneth) Berry; his nieces and nephews, Danny Jr. (Jessica) Hill, Bentley Hill, Kaylee Hill, Oshlynne Krivolavy, and Brandon (Jamie) Schroeder; as well as Kirk Swedblom and Breanna Swedblom.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Claridge, and his grandparents, Geraldine St. Peter and Pete St. Peter.
Chip will be remembered for his kind heart, his willingness to help others, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. His memory will live on in all who knew and loved him.
