Anna Hoover

Anna Hoover, age 92, of Ann Arbor, Michigan passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023. Anna was born in Kitzingen, Bavaria, Germany to Regina (Pavel) Rodamer and Eduard Rodamer. She moved from Germany to Michigan in 1953. She lived in her most recent home, on Medford Rd., in Ann Arbor for over 40 years.

In Germany, Anna was raised with her five siblings, and she cherished the memories of her family back home.

Throughout her life in Michigan, Anna remained active and enjoyed swimming five days a week. She was a regular at both the Ann Arbor YMCA and Vic Tany fitness centers. She also found solace and community at the Second Baptist Church in Ann Arbor, where she was a devoted member for many years.

Anna worked for Ford Motor Company as a line worker and retired from there in 1987. Her strong work ethic and commitment to her family and community endeared her to those who knew her.

Anna is survived by her sister Hannelore Yates, her brother Bernhard, her grandson Daniel (Stacey) Jackson and great-granddaughters Kendall and Karsen Jackson.

Anna was preceded in death by her father Eduard Rodamer, her mother Regina Rodamer, her brothers Rudi, Georg, Eduard and her daughter Elfriede Jackson.

At this time, no funeral services are scheduled.
