

Carolyn Reed Hodge, 61 of Ann Arbor, MI passed away unexpectedly on April 17, 2017. She was born on March 1, 1956 in Sewickley, PA, but lived most of her early adult life in the Richfield, OH area. Carolyn was a graduate of the University of Toledo.
Daughter of Joan and Glenn Reed (deceased) and sister to brothers Mike Reed (Patti) and Tom Reed (Jan) She is survived by her husband Al Hodge, son Philip Dickson, daughter LeeAnn Gedeon (Dave), step daughters Alyssa Hodge (Bryan Jones) and Megan Hodge. Also, three grandchildren, Avery, Olivia and Jack.
Carolyn spent most of her career in marketing and sales support in the Plastics Industry. In her personal time, she was a free-lance writer for numerous charities within the Ann Arbor area producing numerous news articles and news releases. She was recognized as the Woman of the Year by the Women’s Network organization of Akron, OH.
Being a kind and loving spirit, she enjoyed giving her time and resources to those in need. Carolyn deeply loved her family and her large circle of friends. Her passion was gardening and exploring the lifestyle of the Ann Arbor area. All those who knew her will forever remember and treasure their time with her.
She will be sorely missed and forever cherished by her husband, children and friends who loved her with all their hearts.
Memorial Service is scheduled at 1:00PM April 21, 2017 at First Congregational Church of Ann Arbor, 608 E William Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48108. All attending are suggested to use the Parking Structure on Maynard Street between E William and E Liberty Street.
Family request in lieu of flowers for the Memorial Service, donations be made under Carolyn Reed Hodge name to Saline Social Services, 224 W Michigan Avenue, Saline, MI 48176 (www.salinesocialservice.com) Arrangements under the direction of Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Ann Arbor, MI.
