Claudia Irene Moore

Claudia is survived by her brother Richard, daughter Michele, son Richard, grandchildren Jamie, Jessica and Joshua, and her best friend Ron Siegal and his family. A true Michigander; raised in Detroit, lived in Ann Arbor and became a long time resident of Whitmore Lake.

Having graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA and a PhD, she became an Academic Program Director at the University. She also earned a Master’s degree from USC.

A lifelong Wolverine fan who attended home games over a span of 72 seasons, she prided herself for being one of only a few who knew all the verses of “The Yellow and Blue”.

Claudia lived for many years in Brussels, Belgium and Germany, traveling the world with her children in her VW camping bus and teaching at the international school in Brussels.

Claudia was a diminutive 5’2”, eyes of blue, who continued the Moore family tradition of supporting progressive and liberal ideals and values. She was a strong guide and mentor for her family known as one who built sincere relationships with family, friends, neighbors, colleagues and students.

Her loving spirit touched all she met. Claudia was a great sister and mother and made the world a better place for all who knew her. Her memory will live on! Go Blue!
