Tina, as she was known, worked for over 40 years at the University of Michigan Hospitals. Her career began as a switchboard operator. Due to her dedication, determination, and skill she rose through the administrative ranks concluding her career as a Patient Representative in the OB/GYN department. Family was always important to her and, when she lost Albert, they became the center of her life. She also volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House, played Bridge, and shopped (often!) at TJ Maxx where she was well known and a favorite of many of the clerks. Tina was a fabulous cook and gardener. A legacy to her family was showing them how to prepare great food. She openly shared recipes and techniques with all who knew her. She made Christmas cookies for her family, friends and coworkers that were expected and appreciated. Her spaghetti sauce, made with her home grown and canned tomatoes, was legendary. There are many who will continue to make that recipe.
As a member of the greatest generation, she experienced many events and changes in the world and society. And, as a mother, grandmother great-grandmother and professional she will be remembered. She left her mark on our world through the people she influenced, the love they give and the food they prepare.
