Age 90, died peacefully Sunday, February 27 with his son Richard Raup by his side. Born February 25,1921 in Detroit, David became a B 17 pilot in WW II and flew 30 missions over Germany. After the war, he worked as a business manager for Honeywell until retiring to Venice, Florida. He spent every summer at the family cottage at Long Lake in Alpena, Michigan. He is survived by 3 children: David Raup, Catherine (Raup) McLogan, Richard Raup; 7 grandchildren: Kyle Raup, Kelly (Raup) George, Erin (McLogan) Modiano, Brian McLogan, Cara McLogan, James Raup, and Eric Raup; 4 great-grandchildren: Morgan Raup, Camden George, Sullivan George, and Benjamin Modiano. A memorial service will be held on Friday March 18 at 2:00 p.m. at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Ann Arbor. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
