Elaine (Betty) Reed, age 90, of Brooklyn, MI, formerly of Ann Arbor, died Wednesday July 21st , 2010 at Allegiance Health in Jackson, MI. She was born January 27, 1920 in Detroit area as Elaine Roiser. On August 16th , 1947 she married Benedict Reed at St. Patrick's Church. She had been a long time Ann Arbor resident until moving to Brooklyn in 1971. She raised three sons who are surviving, Michael A. Reed of Brighton; Dennis F. (Carolyn) Reed of Illinois; and Timothy B. (April) Reed of West Virginia. She was widowed in 1992. Betty enjoyed gardening, hand stitched quilting, collecting antiques and memorabilia, acting as family photographer and genealogist. She was a member of St. Joseph Shrine, Irish Hills. She was the last surviving of 11 siblings. Surviving in addition to her sons are 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
