Eugenie Louise Wagner

Genie was most proud of her two children, Kimberly Zasa (Kirk) and Bradley Zasa (Karen). Genie was previously married to their father, Joseph Zasa. Genie was fulfilled by and extremely grateful for her family. Genie adored her three grandchildren: Oscar, Cora and Lyla.

Genie grew up in Detroit and graduated high school from University Liggett School in 1965. She went on to study management accounting at Adrian College. Genie was the controller at Lourdes Senior Community until her retirement. She enjoyed fine dining, reading and traveling; her most beloved trips were visiting Alaska and Europe.

Genie had a huge heart and was very compassionate. She touched the lives of many people though her gentle nature and jovial spirit. Genie also deeply loved animals; she had many beloved pets throughout her lifetime.

Memorial services for Eugenie will be postponed due to the pandemic. A Celebration of Life event will be held in her honor at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at aspca.org.
