Fotis Stratikis was born in 1966 in Athens Greece to Elisavet Digaletou and Denis (Dionisis) Stratikis. He spend his early childhood in the neighborhood of Kallithe and most of his summers in his mothers' village at the island of Kefalonia. At a young age he migrated with his family to Tennessee where he received the name Frank, by which most people knew him.
He studied history and archeology at the local university, graduating with a masters degree and kept pushing forward to become a doctor on his field. Later on he moved to Michigan, where he devoted the rest of his life working for the university and pursuing his passions: knowledge and music. On the sunny days he enjoyed reading at the tiny balcony of his apartment or drawing paintings related to ancient Greece. He didn't travel that often, usually he would visit his family back in Tennessee and one of his most memorable trips was in 2000, when he visited his homeland for the last time.
Frank was kind and mindful. He never bothered others with his problems and tried to look at the bright side on anything. He will be missed
Frank was preceded in death by his father Dennis and his mother Elsa and his brother Leon. He is survived by his cousins Jimmy, Corina, Fotis and Corina and their families.
Frank’s final resting place is at Washtenong Memorial Park in Ann Arbor.
