Gilbert "Gib" Joseph Ingleson

Gilbert “Gib” Joseph Ingleson passed away unexpectedly September 16, 2023 in Roscommon, Michigan. On that day he laid down his cross and now rests in the arms of God, whole again after a life lived well despite a congenital heart condition.

Gib was born July 11, 1983 in Escanaba, Michigan. He was raised in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan graduating in 2002 from Sault Area High School. He lived his life with passion and joy, greeting every one he met with his infectious smile. Gib was good humored, generous, and kind hearted. He loved movies, cars, music, woodworking, his pets especially Boo Biscuit, and going to concerts with his brother Harry.

Gib was a dedicated Wolverine. Anyone who visited his apartment had no doubt he was a University of Michigan superfan. One of Gib’s greatest talents and pleasures was cooking for others. Growing up in The Soo, Gib had a passion for spending time outdoors no matter the season. He especially enjoyed being in the woods or riding his moped to the beach.

Gib is survived by his parents Harry “Hob” Ingleson II of Petoskey, Michigan and Patricia “Patti” Ingleson of Ann Arbor, Michigan and his brother Harry (Renetta) Ingleson III of Riverview, Michigan. He is also survived by siblings Connor, Cade, and Reilly Ingleson, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Gib’s family feels grateful, honored, and blessed to have shared his time on earth. His passing leaves a tremendous void in our family, but we have faith that we will see him again in heaven.

Services will be private with the immediate family at Muehlig Funeral Home in Ann Arbor. His internment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, Michigan.
