Grant W. Peters died June 29, 2025. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Grant L. Peters and Jo Ann Peters (Wohlford). He lived most of his life in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and graduated from Pioneer High School in 1987 and Eastern Michigan University in 1992. He also spent time in Minnesota and Florida. Grant had a sharp mind, a quick wit, and a warm, often mischievous sense of humor. He was a voracious reader, curious about everything, and inventive from an early age. Grant had a lifelong love of tinkering, taking things apart to see how they worked and always believing he could figure things out through trial and error. Whether building elaborate fencing to outwit his energetic dog or sketching ideas for a new dog leash prototype, he delighted in creative problem-solving. Most recently, he was working on a nonprofit idea to help struggling pet owners care for their dogs. Grant found great joy fishing and being by the water. He was in his element casting off a pier or beach, adjusting his gear and trying to outsmart the fish. A devoted dog lover, Grant cherished his loyal companion Chamois. Grant’s backyard bordered that of his very close friends, and in a perfect dog lover’s setup, the dogs were best friends too. Grant was a lifelong movie fan and the unofficial film critic among family and friends. His impressive memory and thoughtful takes made him the go-to when you couldn’t remember if you’d seen something, or wanted to know if you should. Euchre was a treasured family tradition full of love and laughter, and in recent years Grant and his sister continued the ritual as an unbeatable online team. Grant was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grant and Jo Ann Peters. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Tracy Lynn and Matthew Guyer, his niece Katie Ann Guyer, and his nephew Matthew Grant Guyer. A celebration of life is being planned.
