On Tuesday, July 25, 2023, the world lost a beloved soul as Kay Lynn Randall peacefully passed away in Ann Arbor, Michigan at the age of 61. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Kay was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, a town that was her home throughout her life. She was the cherished daughter of Shirley (Henry) and Robert Randall. Kay attended High Point School and the CMH Community Opportunities Program, where she thrived, and graduated from High Point School.
Kay was non-verbal, yet she had a unique and expressive way of communicating with her caregivers and family, and would give loving hugs to those who she felt close to.
One of her favorite activities was to have new stickers placed up and down her arm, where she’d keep patting them down so they would stay in place. She loved new magazines, and would eagerly take one, open up the first two pages, and scrunch them between her fingers, a behavior she found endlessly entertaining.
Kay also loved to bounce on her large bouncy ball with a handle. That activity goes back to when Kay was a child, and in her later years it provided a form of exercise. And at times she enjoyed playing Patty Cake with her father or sister.
Kay was considered the Angel of her family, and will always be remembered that way in her family’s hearts and memories.
Survived by her loving father Robert Randall of Lakeland, Florida, Kay's presence will be profoundly missed by her family. Her sister Deborah Fisher of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and her brother Mark Randall and his wife Kristine of Seattle, Washington, will always hold dear the memories of their times together. Additionally, Kay's niece Claire Peterson of Findlay, Ohio, and nephew Colin Fisher of Israel will forever carry her in their hearts.
Kay was preceded in death by her mother Shirley Randall, her paternal grandparents Robert and Helen Randall, and her maternal grandparents Ron and Edith Henry.
No funeral services are scheduled at this time.
