Marion Eileen Luckhardt

Marion Eileen Luckhardt (Jacobson) passed peacefully from complications due to Alzheimer’s, with her husband at her side January 8th, 2018 at the Evangelical Home, Saline. Marion was born on February 18th, 1939 to Waino and Aili Jacobson in Bessemer, Michigan. She graduated from Bessemer High School in 1957. On December 28th, 1957, Marion married Willis Luckhardt; they had three sons Michael, Steven, and David. Marion was a secretary at the University of Michigan for several years. She enjoyed many activities including, cooking, baking, sewing, reading and especially, taking care of her grandchildren. Marion also loved traveling up north to visit where she grew up. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Willis Luckhardt; three sons, Michael (Joy), Steven, and David (Kimberly Kirkland); her sister Judy (Meyer). She also leaves her two loving grandchildren, Caitlyn and Adam Luckhardt, along with many family and friends. Marion was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00, Friday, January 12th at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 420 W. Liberty in Ann Arbor with visitation from 10:00 until time of service. A luncheon at church will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the Evangelical Home, Saline.
