Mollie Mae Cameron

Mollie was born in Lansing and raised in Detroit, the only child of George L. Guyman and Gladah D. Oliver. Mollie graduated from Cooley High School and Mercy School of Nursing. In 1959, she married George H. Cameron and they spent many happy years raising their three children. Mollie enjoyed entertaining, reading, traveling, working in her flower gardens, cooking and hosting family events. She was active in the St. Thomas/Gabriel Richard community where she made many lifelong friends. Mollie returned to nursing after her children were grown and spent twenty years working at Mercywood / St. Joseph’s, retiring in 2000.

Mollie was the loving mother of Mark, Jennifer and Daniel (Tammy) and grandmother of Sarah, Joseph, James, Karly, Dana, Christopher and William and step grandmother of Olivia and Avery. Mollie was preceded in death by her husband George and her daughter in law, Ann Bellestri Cameron.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation or memorial service. The family would like to acknowledge the many health care professionals that contributed to her care over the last few years, especially the staff at Brecon Village Evangelical Home in Saline and St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. Donations in Mollie’s honor can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Humane Society of Huron Valley. Arrangements under the direction of Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Ann Arbor, MI.
