Pauline Esther Caldwell

Pauline Esther Caldwell, 87, of Pinehurst, NC passed away on February 19, 2017, as a result of cardiac arrest. Mrs. Caldwell was the daughter of Charles Cameron Gunnison and Julia Elizabeth Froehlich. She grew up in Rochester, N.Y., where she graduated from West High School in 1947.Prior to moving to Pinehurst, Pauline resided in Holt, MI. She also lived in the Greater Lansing/East Lansing area, Fort Myers, FL, and Redford, Romeo, and Ann Arbor, MI. She spent her summers at Perch Lake in Lake, MI. Pauline loved being with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed walking, dancing, and all living creatures. She was an avid card player and thrift store shopper extraordinaire, and the finest mother and grandmother anyone could have. Survivors include her son, David W. Swan and daughter in law, Deborah A. Swan; daughter Lynne A. Swan and her companion, Linda Redding; son, Roger D. Caldwell and daughter in law, Christine Caldwell and grandchildren Tyler, Erin, and Zachery; step daughter Rosemarie Caldwell Chauncey, and step granddaughter Rebecca Caldwell. Family will receive friends at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 S. Fourth Ave., Ann Arbor, MI on Saturday, March 18 from 2:30 until time of service at 4:30. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Huron Valley.
