I was really sad to hear the passing of Uncle Bob. I always thought very highly of him. We send our condolences to Aunt Ester and family. His humor I do remember and he always holds a place in my heart and thoughts. He was a good man.

Robert Pieske was a personal friend of mine. I have known his family for decades, having been friends with his grandson Steven since grade school. I always enjoyed filling Bob in on my career here at AAFD. I accompanied him to an AAFD retiree breakfast at Stivers very early in my career.  I enjoyed being introduced to some of the other old timers.  Bob got to enjoy a long retirement with his wife Esther and spent lots of time with his children and grandchildren too. He will be missed.

Aunt Esther and Family,
We are so sorry to hear about Uncle Bob. He will be remembered with that smile on bright smile on his face. That is how I always remember seeing him. Much love to you all.

Kenny - It was such a pleasure to see you again, even though the circumstances were less than optimal!  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Esther and family, I am so sorry to here about Bob's passing. He was a very good man and a lot of fun to be around.

Uncle Bob always made me laugh..he is a remarkable man. Many say my first born son David looks a lot like him...it was a Blessing that he was.such an important part of my heritage.. Rest In Peace Uncle..my condolences to Aunt Esther, Dennis, Kenny, and Fred..and their families.

For years I have enjoyed Bob and his granddaughters who came in to visit every morning at Tim Horton's in Saline.  He always had a lot of items to discuss so never a dull moment when Robert was around.  

He lived a great life and loved all met.

Prayers to the Pieske family, I worked with Bob at AAFD in the late 60's,  Was a good mentor and friend.

Our prayers are with the family and friends of Bob.  I will always appreciate his guidance as I started my career with the Ann Arbor Fire Dept.  And then there were those fantastic times with the bowling league.  He was a mentor, coworker and friend who shared his love of life without conditions.  RIP my friend.

Ester and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.  Many fond memories of knowing and working with Bob.
He used to come into PTFD and discuss many fire situations with my father and then when I joined AAFD he was my first Battalion Chief.
Will miss seeing him at the AAFD retiree breakfasts.

Ester, my heart goes out to all of you at this difficult time. I went on a lot of calls with Bob. He will be missed by all that worked with him .
