Robert Darrow Tischler

Robert Darrow Tischler passed away March 3, 2015 with his family by his side. Robert was 56 years old. He was born in Detroit, MI and grew up in Durham, NH, where he met and married his wife of 32 years. Robert received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire. He returned to Michigan in 1993 with his family, and went on to attend the University of Michigan where he received his MBA. Robert will be remembered by all who knew him as a kind, gentle man whose greatest pleasure came in working to restore his Lotus Elan with his sons Alden and Justin. He is survived by his beloved wife, Tammie, their three children, Dannielle Pohlman (Mark), Justin and Alden Tischler, his two granddaughters Rylan and Peyton Pohlman, his brother Michael Tischler and his parents Herbert and Annette Tischler. The family will receive guests at their home on March 12, 13, and 14, between the hours of 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. A memorial service honoring Robert’s life will be held at the First Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Ann Arbor on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation be made in his memory to the Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor, 2010 Hogback Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105.
