Susan Anne Grubb passed away peacefully in her home at Hillside Terrace in Ann Arbor, Michigan from Alzheimer's dementia. Susan was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Edwin W. Grubb and Mary Coddington Grubb. She attended high school in Elmira, New York and graduated from Elmira College in 1955. She married Henry C. Cole in 1962 but the marriage ended in divorce. Susan worked as a speech therapist, in social work, and in reproductive justice before deciding in the 1990s to obtain a master's degree in religion at the Chicago Theological Seminary. She married Robert (Bob) Davidow in 1996 and together they enjoyed travel, movies, singing, and pursuing social justice causes. Susan and Bob moved to Ann Arbor in the 2000s and became active members of the Jewish Cultural Society of Ann Arbor. Susan was extremely fond and proud of her younger sister Lynne G. Cochran. They sang together as children and whenever they got a chance as adults, and Susan delighted in hearing stories about Lynne's children. Susan was devastated when Lynne tragically passed away in 2011. Susan was preceded in death by her husband Bob (2024). She is survived by her brother-in-law John Cochran, niece Amy Cochran Kasper and nephew Jonathan Cochran, stepchildren Laura Hirshbein (Peretz Hirshbein), Philip Davidow (Anna Davidow), step-grandchildren Abigail Hirshbein, Daniel Hirshbein, James Davidow, Alexander Davidow, and grandnieces and grandnephews.
