Ursula Alwine Pfeiffle

Ursula Alwine (Mein) Pfeiffle passed away at her home on July 22, 2011 with loving family and friends at her side. She was born on May 31, 1931 in Bremerhaven, Germany. She was preceded in death by her parents Johanne (Carlstochter) Mein and Ernst August Mein and her brother August Mein. Ursula was married to Glenn Carl Pfeiffle on November 20, 1954 in Paris, France. She is survived by her husband Glenn, son Michael, daughter Lori (Ted) Ernst, several Grandchildren including Justin and Josh Ernst, Sisters; Marianne Wright of Leawood, Kansas, Inge Schulz and Erika Schutte of Germany and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ursula’s courageous positive attitude and uncomplaining nature will be sorely missed by her family, friends and neighbors. Her greatest joys were working in her garden and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Ursula was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother (Oma). Ursula was a longtime member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ. Visitation will be held at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel on Tuesday July 26, 2011 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, with a funeral service at the Bethlehem United Church of Christ chapel on Wednesday July 27, 2011 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Bethlehem United Church of Christ Building Fund and the The Patrick Swayze Pancreas Cancer Research Fund, Stanford Cancer Center Development Office, 2700 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025.
