
Anne Everett Quinn (Nan) a resident of Ginger Cove and formally a resident of High Ridge Road, both in Annapolis, Maryland, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2015 surrounded by her loving husband, 11 children and their families. Anne was born on Jefferson Street in Baltimore, Maryland on December 11, 1931. She was the youngest of six children born to William F. Everett and Marie E. Granlund. Nan graduated from The Catholic High-School of Baltimore in 1949. After high school, she attended St. Joseph's Hospital, School of Nursing in Baltimore and graduated in 1952. Anne met the love of her life, James L. Quinn, Jr. at Penn Station in Baltimore in June of 1950 on a blind date… the rest is history. She married Jim on February 9, 1953 and took the start of their lifetime journey to Texas where he completed his flight training for the Air Force. In the ensuing years, Nan traveled with Jim to various Air Force bases and created a nurturing home for their growing family. Anne was a registered Nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital in Baltimore, Anne Arundel Hospital in Annapolis and Hope House in Crownsville, Maryland. Nan enjoyed Arts and Crafts of all kinds. Her favorites where pastels, portraits and charcoals. She was an accomplished seamstress creating clothes and costumes for her many children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader and attended many classes at AACC and Maryland Hall. Anne was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church for over 45 years. She was a firm believer in the importance of Catholic education. Anne is survived by her husband of 62 years, James L. Quinn, Jr., her 11 children, Colleen Buchanan (James), Patricia Stocks, James L Quinn, III (Mary Lynn), Bridget Ray (Robert), Thomas Quinn, Kathleen Reed (Eric), Anne Armstead (Joseph), Peter Quinn (Kelly), William Quinn (Petra), Sara Ballister (Christopher) and John Quinn. In addition, she is survived by 26 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren, a brother James G. Everett (Dolores) and a sister Patricia Brown. She leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her dearly. The family will receive relatives and friends at The John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD 21401 on Friday February 20, 2015 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A memorial mass will be held at 9:00 am on Saturday February 21, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 109 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD 21401. Interment to follow directly after services at St. Mary's Cemetery on West Street, Annapolis, MD. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to St. Mary's Tuition Angel Fund, 109 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD, 21401 or to Hospice of Chesapeake, 90 Richie Highway, Pasadena, MD 21122.
