Arthur Trader Dawson

Arthur T Dawson of Annapolis Maryland passed away on March 18, 2025 at the age of 82. After recent months of failing health, he died peacefully in his home with his daughter Holly, grandchildren Micheal, Johnathan, Katie and His loved golden doodle Bella by his side.

He graduated from Annapolis high school and enlisted into the Navy. In his younger years he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He drove a tractor trailer for over 35 years. He retired driving from Safeway.

He enjoyed working hard and providing for his family. He was always someone you could count on. He also enjoyed playing the lottery. Always playing the family’s birthdays.

He was a good father who always took care of his children and did the best he could to teach and guide them, a loving grandfather and “great-grandfather". A man who never cared much about himself and who even in his final days would say to his loved ones, “just to take care of “Bella” when I’m gone”.

Pete was a strong, proud and good man. He is loved and will be missed by many!

A visitation for Arthur will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester Street Annapolis, Maryland 21401. A funeral service will occur in the funeral home chapel Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 11 AM. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
