Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.johnmtaylorfuneralhome.com for the White-Bonney family.
Bonnie Ann White-Bonney was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Bonnie will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Bonnie was born on January 17, 1940 in Annapolis, MD. She was the daughter of Professor James R. Bland of the United States Naval Academy and I. Marie Bland. Bonnie grew up in Eastport, MD, where she resided most of her adult life.
Bonnie was raised with one sibling, her beloved older sister, Maureen, who pre-deceased her in death.
As a young girl, Bonnie had a number of interests. Like most children, she enjoyed playing and making up games. She was curious about the world around her and was often eager to explore it. Bonnie's memorable childhood achievements included winning a competitive yoyo championship, and winning a math award. However, to Bonnie, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with her friends Adrienne, Harriett, and Joan.
Bonnie graduated from Annapolis High School in 1958.
Bonnie enjoyed her college years, which may have been a challenge with all of the academics, responsibilities, and the sudden freedom that accompanied them, but Bonnie was able to manage the balancing act. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Maryland College Park in 1969. She also pursued graduate studies in support of her career. Bonnie's other interests included spending time with her Alpha Chi Omega sorority sisters and participating in Archery competitions. She was also a sweetheart of the Sigma Chi fraternity while she dated her future husband William F. White.
Bonnie was married to William F. White Jr. of Washington DC from August 1962-1965. Together they had one daughter Wendi Maureen in 1963. Another blessing for Bonnie was the gift of three grandchildren, Christi, Jamie and Reilly.
Her primary occupation was a High School teacher, where she taught Math at Annapolis Senior High for 30 years.
On February 19, 1997 Bonnie exchanged wedding vows with Roger Bonney at the Flower Forest of Barbados.
Later in life, she found her love of poetry. She would spend her free time reading and writing hundreds of poems.
Simply stated, Bonnie was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Bonnie leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Bonnie Ann White-Bonney.
