Dorothy A. Bove, 90, a lifetime resident of Annapolis, died peacefully at home Friday October 3, 2014 surrounded by her family. Born January 10, 1924 in Annapolis, Maryland, Dorothy attended St. Mary’s Elementary School and Annapolis Senior High School. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family, playing Bingo and cards. She was an avid Navy football fan and enjoyed watching the midshipmen march to and into the stadium and listening to them sing at the conclusion of the game. Dorothy was preceded in death by a son, Charles L. “Butch” Bove, who died in 1991; granddaughter, Becky Eyster who died in 2010; and a sister, Virginia Donovan. She is survived by two daughters, Charlene Eyster (Bobby) of Annapolis, MD and Mary Jo Stover (Chuck) of Edgewater, MD; two sisters, Rebecca Deppe of Lewis Center, Ohio and Betty Reed of Stuart, Florida; three grandchildren, Christopher Bove, Lisa Young, and A.J. Stover; and three great-grandchildren, Chloe and Joshua Young and Sydney Bove. Services and interment are private.
