

Emma Mary Hancock, age 14 On Friday evening, January 8, 2016, surrounded by her loving family, Emma departed to join God in Heaven. Emma was diagnosed with an inoperable, terminal brain cancer at age three, but God saw fit to leave her as a guide for those that she could teach and inspire for eleven years: Emma is survived by her adoring family; Father, James Hancock, Mother, Nichole Tyree, Stepfather, Garland Tyree; Brother, Ryan Hancock and Sisters, Kayla Trippet and Sophie Tyree; Grandparents, Sheila Hannon, Tom & Sheila Boss, David & Tanya Potee, Papa John Hannon, and Tony & Jan Tyree; Great Grandparents, Nancy & Rich Bower, Bill & Carol Barry, Jackie Stubbs; and many loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and extended family members. At the age of three Emma sat outside admiring the Moon and stars and commented "Papa, do you know that I used to be an Angel?" She was and is!! A service for Emma will be held at John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD 21401 on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to one of the following; Marty Lyons Foundation, Casey Cares Foundation & Believe in Tomorrow.
