Evelyn Flanigan Jefferson

Evelyn was born on October 30, 1924 in Catonsville, MD and grew up on Prospect Avenue. Evelyn graduated from Catonsville High School and then received her nursing degree from Church Home and Hospital School of Nursing. It was while she was working as a nurse that she met her future husband Wilson. In 1951 Evelyn and Wilson purchased land in Annapolis and built their forever home where she resided till her death. She continued her nursing career in Annapolis.

Evelyn enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved to entertain their friends in the back yard hosting holiday dinners as well as Sunday night dinners. She loved to travel to Glacier and Yellowstone with her sister and husband. She was an amazing grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed baking cookies and cakes with her them. She continued to babysit her great grandchildren right up to the end of her life.

Evelyn is proceeded in death by her husband Wilson Jefferson. She is survived by her son Gary Jefferson and his wife Dolores; grandchildren Bryan Jefferson and his wife Jennifer, Jen Cudzilo and her husband Shawn; great grandmother of Hunter, Reese and Brooklynn. She will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Evelyn will be held Monday, March 27, 2023 from 6 to 8 PM at John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke Of Gloucester St, Annapolis, Maryland 21401. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM. A private interment will be held at Cedar Bluff Cemetery.
