Irma Victoria Jones, 91, formerly of Greensboro, MD passed away on Sunday evening, May 23, 2021 at William Hill Gardens of Easton, following a lengthy struggle with Parkinson’s disease. She was born in Crozier, VA to the late Glenn M. and Carrie T. Sutphin on July 4, 1929. Mrs. Jones was employed at a variety of different Annapolis-area pharmacies over the years. She enjoyed gardening, drawing, puzzles, card games, and vintage movies, and was very proud of her extensive collection of Precious Moments figurines.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was predeceased by two brothers, Glenn M. and Hiram T. Sutphin; first husband Lloyd W. Reynolds; second husband Donald K. Jones; and her sons Howard D. and Matthew D. Jones. She is survived by two daughters, L. Renee Johnson of Annapolis and Cara T. Avery of Ridgely; two granddaughters, Vicki L. Qualey of Millersville and Elena M. Potts of Elkton; and two great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Amberly Qualey.
Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 1911 Forest Drive, Annapolis MD on Saturday May 29, 2021 at 1:00 PM, with arrangements by John M. Taylor Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 S.E. 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131 (parkinson.org), or to the charity of your choice.
