

Irvin O. Schuler, Jr., beloved husband of Margaret Miller (nee Cook), died at his home in Annapolis on June 30 after a short illness. Predeceased by wife Audrey (nee Chambers). He is survived by sons Mark and Scott Schuler, stepdaughter Nancy Deal and stepson Gary Miller. He is also survived by one brother Bruce Schuler. Born in Baltimore on July 13, 1925, Mr. Schuler grew up in Brooklyn Park and was a long-time resident of Glen Burnie and then Annapolis. An ex-Marine, Mr. Schuler served in the Pacific Theatre during World War II including Iwo Jima and Guadalcanal. He worked at various factory jobs and retired from General Electric in 1988, where he had been employed as a material purchaser. He also is survived by 9 grandchildren (Paul Schuler, Matthew Schuler, John Miller, Ben Philon, Trevor Baldree, Brandon Schuler, Deborah Miller, Joel Schuler and Kelsey Lamb) and 8 great-grandchildren. Family will receive visitors at Taylor Funeral Home in Annapolis, Friday July 3 from 3-5 pm and from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church on 1300 West Street in Annapolis on Monday, July 6 at 10 am with interment to follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
