

James Darwin Kiser of Annapolis, MD, beloved son of John and Joan Kiser, passed away in his sleep suddenly on August 19, 2016. Jimmy was 49 years old, was well loved by friends and family, and a true friend to many. He was kind, ever-giving, and hardworking. He was born in 1966 and grew up in Sherwood Forest, while attending Indian Creek School and Annapolis High School. He worked at the BWI Golf Range and the Annapolis Golf Club, where, in 1990, he got a hole-in-one. He spent several years as first mate, often ferrying yachts up the east coast and the Intracoastal Waterway and later became a free-lance carpenter. He was gregarious and entertaining, and he loved to do uncommon things. As a youth did extreme bike sports and became an avid skier and golfer and he traveled throughout the US, Canada, the Caribbean Islands and South Africa. He was generous with his time, serving others, and helping friends in need. He was a member of the Eastport Democratic Club, and spent much time with his friends. He is survived by his father and mother, John and Joan; his brother, John and wife Doris; and his sister, Linda Graefe and her husband George. A Memorial Gathering of friends and family will be held Friday, August 26th, 2016 from 5pm to 8pm at the John M Taylor funeral home, 147 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis.
