

Jane Anne Pumphrey, 80 of Fenwick Island, DE, died on Friday, February 5, 2016 of heart failure at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. A 27 year resident of Annapolis, Jane was born in Baltimore, MD, graduated from Mount de Sales Academy, Anne Arundel Community College and the University of Maryland where she received her Masters of Science in Physical Education. She worked as a coordinator for religious education and was a member of the Fleet Reserve, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help and St. Luke’s in Ocean City, MD. With a roaring personality and a zest for life, Jane enjoyed reading, sports and visits from her family. She is survived by her three children; Matthew Pumphrey of Eastport, Janelle Smith of Crownsville and Anne Kalinoski of Edgewater as well as six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Friends will be received on Monday, February 8th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD. A mass of Christian burial will be offered at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Road, Annapolis on Tuesday, February 9th at 10:30 a.m. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery, Baltimore. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Mission Helpers of the Sacred Heart, 1001 West Joppa Road, Baltimore, MD 21204.
