Janet L. Borne

Janet Lyon Borne, 90, formerly of Largo, FL and Hanover, MA passed away peacefully on October 2nd at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born on January 26, 1926 to George and Marion Lyon, she was raised in Hingham, MA. She married Lewis Borne in 1955 and spent 44 wonderful years together raising their children, Ronald and Suzanne, in Hanover, MA and later retiring to Largo, FL. An avid beach goer and sun enthusiast in retirement, Janet was a lover of tennis, crossword puzzles, entertaining, and spending quality time with friends and family. She was deeply involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren and will be missed by the many who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Suzanne Nicholson, and son-in-law Thomas Nicholson IV. She is survived by her son, Ronald Borne (Hannie); her six grandchildren, Matthew Nicholson (MaryCasey), Sean Nicholson (Kathryn), Garrett Nicholson, Melissa Giannetto (Aaron), Alexander Nicholson, and Michelle Powers (Bret); and one great grandchild, Thomas Nicholson V. A memorial service will be held in Hanover, MA at a later date and time.
