

Marina Vea Sagisi peacefully left this world on July 25, 2025, in Annapolis MD surrounded by her loving family. Known as Maring to family and friends , she was 98 years old and lived a beautiful and fulfilling life. Born on August 8, 1926, in Bacarra, Philippines, she embodied grace, strength and quiet resilience. She was preceded in death by her parents Simeon and Amanda Constantino, her beloved husband Peter and 9 siblings.
She earned her nursing degree from Chinese General Hospital in 1950 in Manila PH and then moved to the US seeking opportunity and a better life. She dedicated over 40 years of her life to nursing with over 2 decades at Christ Hospital in Jersey City NJ. Nursing was a compassion she fulfilled by caring for others and her healing touch comforted many patients in their time of need.
Marina met the love of her life, Peter in 1952 also from Bacarra, in East Chicago IN. They began their partnership by moving to NYC and were married in 1954 and settled in Jersey City, later moving to Annapolis to be close to their grandchildren. They shared almost 50 years of marriage and together they built a legacy of love, hard work, and support for their family. She enjoyed hosting gatherings for family and friends where her home was a welcome haven to share laughter and memorable moments and events. Over the years she enjoyed spending time gardening, world travels and cooking. Her simple pleasures included watching The Bachelor, WWF Smackdown and Wheel of Fortune. She enjoyed eating crabs, adored cats, was a proud patriotic American and kept a deep faith in God, which gave her strength and resilience to live each day. Marina always had a friendly smile, big heart, and generous spirit.
She is survived by daughter Arline (Joe), son Peter (Liza), two granddaughters Kristina and Amanda, nieces and nephews Elymar Vea, Gloria Quiatchon (Rufino), Cleofe Vea and Orlando Vea in addition to many grand and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation begins on August 8th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Taylor Funeral Home,147 Duke of Gloucester St Annapolis MD. The funeral mass will begin August 9th at 9:00am at St Mary’s Church, 109 Duke of Gloucester St. Annapolis MD. Immediately following the mass, interment will be at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 W Central Ave, Davidsonville MD.
