It was by chance I saw that Mary Ellen passed away. I worked with her at NSA from 1967-1972. What a great friend and co-worker she was. We shared many a good time together and many laughs. I moved to Massachusetts and she came to spend some time with me here. We lost touch for a while but connected again. We exchanged Christmas cards over the years. I was very sad to see she passed away. I know she was very much loved by her family. My condolences to all. Mary Maxner, Brockton, MA

Mary Ellen could be a fierce, take no nonsense lady when needed, but she also was a generous, caring sweetheart.  I have many warm memories of her from work.  I send sincerest condolences to her family and friends.

Volumes could be written about how Mary Ellen enriched our lives.  But the bottom line is that she was one of the beautiful people who loved life, all people, and most of all our Lord.  She is alive and well in his house and in our hearts.

Mary Ellen was a warm and kind lady who looked after all of us at work. She made us all feel like members of her extended family. We will miss you, Mary Ellen; God bless you. Bye for now.

Mary Ellen was the then "secretary"/now office manager when I first came on board with the agency in early 1968 after USAFSS and journalism in the Midwest.  She made me feel welcome, valued, and that I had a friend who would help me deal with anything and everything - as she did all of us.  There were more people in that office than lived in my hometown, so I was a little bit intimidated and overwhelmed by the whole "B-W megatropolis" mass.  Thanks, "Mary Ellie" for all the kind, great help and true friendship that you gave to everyone who ever knew you.  We were blessed, and you surely are now.  See ya, kiddo!

I am so sorry to hear of Mary Ellen's passing.  We worked together for years and she was the loveliest of ladies.  She always spoke of her niece, Shelly,  and all of her accomplishments.  I will miss you Mary Ellen.  Prayers to her family.

I worked with Mary Ellen for many years and will always remember her smile and "can-do" attitude.  RIP friend.
