Michael is survived by his wife of 45 years, Hilary Briles; son Chritopher Briles and son-in-law Patrick Turner of Fort Worth, TX; son, John Briles and daughter-in-law Alicia Briles; and grandsons Lucas and Hunter Briles of Severna Park, MD.
Michael graduated with a BS Degree and Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Georgia Tech, a career he loved passionately. He designed residences, restaurants, and businesses in Annapolis, MD, Atlanta and Savannah, GA, and in Hilton Head Island, SC. Michael was one of the original designers for CNN in Atlanta and for the DC and NY CNN Bureaus.
Michael will be remembered for his love of sailing and boats, playing tennis, but mostly for the love and pride he had for his whole family. He will be forever missed.
A celebration of life will take place in summer of 2024 in Maine, a place near and dear to his heart full of love, family, and memories.
