

Robert Wayne Depew, Jr., beloved brother and uncle and a lifelong resident of Annapolis, passed away at Baltimore Washington Medical Center on October 3, 2015 surrounded by his family at the age of 68. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Cdr Robert W. Depew, his mother, Jean Depew and his younger brother, John Depew. He is survived by his brother Steven Depew, his sister Diane Schwallenberg, his nephews, James Schwallenberg and Alex Schwallenberg , his niece, Rachel Long, his great nephews Jack Dunne, Richie Long Jr, and Charles Long, and his great niece Kaiya Schwallenberg and countless family and friends that love him. He was born in Annapolis, Maryland on June 20, 1947 and graduated from Severna Park High School in 1966. Robert worked for Goodwill Industries for 20 years and was a landscaper after that. He was a member of the Arundel Lodge for over 20 years, where he made many friends. Family was the most important thing to Robert. He enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with the people he loved. He also enjoyed bowling, golfing, The Ravens, The Orioles, The Terps, The Navy, playing sports, scratch offs and playing poker. Visitation will be held at John M. Taylor Funeral Home at 147 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD 21401 on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 7, at 11am. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery.
