It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Anthony Bayster, III. Thomas was born on March 9, 1971, and transitioned out of this life on May 18, 2026, at his home in Elkridge, Maryland.
Thomas attended DeMatha Catholic High School, where he formed many lifelong friendships. In his youth, he was passionate about music and played bass guitar in several bands.
Thomas earned a degree in Business Administration and built a career working for several large corporations over the course of his life. Outside of his professional work, he found joy in simple pleasures like spending time outdoors, building fires, playing games, and, most importantly, being with family and friends.
Thomas had a special love for animals, particularly cats, and devoted much care and companionship to his beloved cat. He will be remembered as a compassionate, loyal, and warm-hearted person who cared deeply for those around him.
He is survived by his sister, Nan Bayster Ridgeway, and his brother-in-law, Robert Ridgeway, as well as his father, Thomas Anthony Bayster, Jr. He was predeceased by his mother Nan Maria Del Rio.
Holidays and family game nights with his sister and brother-in-law were among Thomas’ most cherished memories. He especially enjoyed celebrating the Fourth of July with hot dogs on the grill.
The family will receive friends at The Atreeum at Soaring Timbers, 610 North Bestgate Road, Annapolis, Maryland 21401 on Sunday, June 14, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A Celebration of Tom's Life will be held at 12:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Thomas’ memory to the Maryland SPCA (https://mdspca.org).
Thomas will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
