He had lived his best life. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 10, 1939 to Edward Llewelyn McCormack and Ruth Emma Ashley.
After studying at the Gemological Institute of America he began an illustrious jewelry career during which time he met his wife, Eva Katherine (Katie) Buckley, whom he married in June of 1969. They went on to have two children, Kathleen Elizabeth Kovacs and Patricia (Happy) Ruth McCormack, and a successful jewelry store business.
He enjoyed spending time with family and neighborhood friends, and travelling across the states for vacations. After Katie’s death in 2005, Tom moved to Elizabeth City, North Carolina to retire. He developed new relationships with friends he met through playing golf and billiards, and for 8 years had a second marriage with Earline Tarkenton Gregory.
Ultimately, Tom returned to Maryland as a single man to enter HeartHomes at Pasadena, where he was a charmer to the staff with his amusing personality and quirky snack habits.
He is survived by Kathleen, her husband John and son Michael, and Patricia and her husband William Rutkowski.
