

Tom was born on March 8, 1943 in Washington DC to the late Thomas and Dorothy Penn. He has resided in Davidsonville for the past 49 years. A retired HVAC field supervisor who served his country as a Sergeant in the US Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He received several commendations in the army such National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Viewnam Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Sharpshooters Badge M14.
Tom was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign War and was a member of American Legion Post 0007. He enjoyed Camping with his family, Boating, Fishing Crabbing and Golf.
The love of his life Brenda J. Penn passed away in 2001. He is predeceased by his sister Sue James and a nephew Mike James. Tom is survived by one son Christopher Andrew Penn, three daughters: Sandra Mattingly of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Teresa Gordon of Tennessee and Jennifer Dykes of Alabama, one niece Vicky Klinefelter, two nephews: Gary James and Darren James, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A visitation for Thomas will be held Friday, February 4, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester Street Annapolis, MD 21401. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 West Central Ave, Davidsonville, MD 21035.
