

Funeral services for Albert Clayton Hanvey, 70, of Coldwater, will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Harvest Church of God with Bishop Jerry Irwin, Rev. Don Maddox and Rev. W.H. Ford officiating and Gray Brown-Service in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am- 1:00 pm at the church. Mr. Hanvey passed away Monday at RMC.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Margie Presson Hanvey; children, Tracy Hanvey McFarland (Dwain), Phillip Dax Hanvey (Tracy) and Adam Clayton Hanvey (Ashlee); grandchildren, Brent, Derek and Brady McFarland, Khloe Hanvey, Hudson Hanvey and Griffin Hanvey (to be born in September); sisters, Jean Yeatman, Lucretia Teague; brothers, Ernest Hanvey (Shirley), Jim Hanvey (Judy), Gerald Hanvey (Jane), and Ray Hanvey (Ann).
Mr. Hanvey is preceded in death by his parents, W.A. and Thelma Hanvey.
Pallbearers will be Dax Hanvey, Adam Hanvey, Dwain McFarland, Brent McFarland, Derek McFarland, James Chamblee and Doug Brooks. Honorary Pallbearer will be Brady McFarland.
Mr. Hanvey was a lifelong member of Harvest Church of God and was a 1961 graduate of Wellborn High School. He retired after 32 years from Goodyear Tire & Rubber. His favorite sport was fishing and Alabama football. He was a great husband, daddy and loved his grandchildren and will be greatly missed.
