Arlen Huffman Geier passed on May 17, 2026, at the age of 80. Born April 30, 1946, in Alabama, Arlen lived in Piedmont, Alabama, and is survived by Kathy Geier, loving wife of 57 years; a daughter, Wendy Ponder (Tyler); and grandchildren Ally Ponder and Reid Ponder, and was preceded in death by parents Delridge & Lena Geier, brothers Charles Geier and Wendell Geier, and a granddaughter, Emma Ponder.
Visitation will be held on May 19, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a Memorial Service at Asberry Baptist Church on May 19, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
Arlen was an avid hunter and fisherman who was especially fond of turkey hunting. He was dedicated to his job where he retired after 30 years of service to South Central Bell which later became AT&T. His faith remained strong through his long-standing membership at Asberry Baptist Church, a foundation that guided him through life's joys and challenges. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Amedysis Home Health and Hospice staff.
