

Funeral Service for Betty Russell, 84 of Anniston, will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Edgewood Congressional Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Russell went to be with the Lord Monday morning surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Russell is survived by daughters, Gail Hughes (Larry), Deborah Dunagan (Gary), Martina Russell (Larry), and Charlotte Lloyd (Larry); sons, Bobby Russell Jr. (Effie), Timmy Russell (Teresa), Keith Russell (Becky), Chris Russell (Michelle); sister, Joyce Pruitt; grandchildren, Stan, Jimmy Neal, Jill, Derek, Haley, Brandy, Cheyenne, Laura, T.J., Jeff, Daniel, Ty, Hannah, Dylan, Hunter, Krislyn, Blakely; and 34 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Russell is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Russell Sr.; grandson, Jeremy Russell; and mother, Eva Woods.
Pallbearer will be grandsons.
Mrs. Russell was a lifelong resident of Anniston and retired from Beckwood Manor after many years of service. She attend several local churches including Victory Outreach where she was very active in the food bank and clothes closet, Freewill Baptist and her last church Edgewood Congressional Methodist.
Mrs. Russell was the definition of pure and unconditional love, she was the living picture of Proverbs 31. She had a servant heart and was always willing to help others. Everyone who knew her considered her family. She was loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she will be greatly missed.
