Billy was proudly born and raised in Choccolocco, Alabama and lived there all of his life. He retired from CSX Transportation (formerly L&N Railroad) after 42 years of service. He was a big fan of White Plains High School Basketball. He loved old westerns, comedy movies, crossword puzzles, 50's music, and watching football games. Among his many hobbies, he enjoyed working in the yard, reading, and taking pictures of his family and the many places he visited.
For those of us who knew and loved him, he was one-of-a-kind who lived to help and serve others. He was one of the founding members of the Over the Hill Gang. He was also a long-time member of the Choccolocco Heritage Society, the White Plains Alumni Association, and he also coached junior league football in his younger years.
He was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and loved his church. Above all, he was happiest when he was spending time with his family, who he loved and cherished. His two daughters loved and adored their daddy. He will be incredibly missed by everyone who was BLESSED to know him.
