Carol Lee Voiles, age 64, of Gadsden, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. There will be a special time of remembrance in her honor held in the Parlor of the Gray Brown Funeral Home, 1329 Wilmer Avenue Anniston, Alabama 36201 on Thursday, March 7th 2024 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
Carol is survived by her first husband, Mark Altgilbers; her daughter Elizabeth Johnson (Ryan); her sisters Lisa Reynolds, Michelle Zwigart and her brother Raymond Bethune; her grandchildren Ryan Johnson, Evan Johnson, Rosilyn Riffer, Carmen Riffer, Katilyn Riffer and her great grandson, Ryder Riffer.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Margaret (Janie) Bethune; her daughter Victoria Dopkoski and her brother Richard Bethune.
Carol Voiles was a beloved mother, grandmother, "Gi-Gi" and great-grandmother. She lived a life full of goodness and love. The family summed her up perfectly by saying, "she touched every soul she came in contact with here on earth." One could easily say that she made every person she met, better. Carol also seemed to make friends with everyone she met. She will definitely be greatly missed by all of her family, and all of those who had the privilege of knowing her as a friend. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family, the "Wounded Warrior Project", or the "Tunnel to Towers Foundation".
