Funeral services for Cecil “June Bug” Kirby Jr., 57, of Anniston, will be at 1 pm, Sunday, November 3, 2013, at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Rev. Hollis Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Hall’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12 – 1 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Kirby passed away on Friday at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include his father, Cecil Kirby Sr., companion of 17 years, Deniece Nance, sons, Cecil ‘Scooter” Kirby III and his companion, Tina Terrell and Rocky McCrelles, grandchildren, Haley Kirby, Sierra Kirby, Jessie King, Bricen Butner and Allie Butler and his last surviving aunt from his mother’s side, Chris Key
Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearer will be Terry Brown.
Mr. Kirby was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was a loving son, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Mr. Kirby was a huge Alabama fan.
