Funeral service for Charles Kenneth “Ken” Goodwin, 77, of Alexandria, will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 24, 2011, at Harvest Temple Church of God with Bishop Jerry Irwin, Rev. Don Maddox, and W.H. Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 9:30-11 am at the church. Mr. Goodwin went home to be with his heavenly father Saturday afternoon.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Dona Goodwin; two sons, Alan Goodwin and Steve Goodwin and wife Teresa; two grandchildren, Amanda Shaver and husband Ross and Ryan Goodwin; sister, Grace Clark; and mother-in-law, Ernestine Wolfe.
Mr. Goodwin is preceded in death by his mother, Eva Goodwin, and sister Lois Stephens.
Pallbearers will be Ray Guthrie, John Wooster, Aaron Taylor, Clayton Hanvey, John L. Cash, and James Chambers.
Mr. Goodwin was born in Tallapoosa GA, and resided in Calhoun County for most of his life. He was member of the IBEW for 58 years. He was a member and deacon of Harvest Temple Church of God.
