Funeral service for Christine Brooks, 69, of Choccolocco will be 12 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2016, at Old Davistown Church of God with the Rev. Bobby Brooks and the Rev. Sonny Spears officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary. Mrs. Brooks died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Regional Medical Center in Anniston. Survivors include her sons, Roy Dix, Frankie McClain, Jason McClain; daughter, Sondra McClain; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters, Charlene Klowski, Barbara Smith, Linda Phillips and Sharron Smith. She is preceded in death by her husband, Grady P. Brooks; son, Larry McClain; parents, Lee and Florence Dix; six brothers and three sisters. Pallbearers will be Roy Dix, Frankie McClain, Jason McClain, Doug Martin, Joseph D. Smith and Eugene Phillips. Honorary Pallbearer will be David Edgeworth Sr. Her hobbies included watching game shows and cross-stitching. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
