

Funeral services for Clyde “Sonny” Williams, 78 of Anniston will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Pastor Danny Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Williams passed away Wednesday September 10 at his residence.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mary Jane Williams; daughters, Sabrina “Sister” Norris of Anniston, Tina “Tootsie Pie” Cain and husband Sam “Boss Man” Cain of Jacksonville; granddaughters, Tanya Sexton (Chad) of Anniston, Britney Cain and Kelsey Cain both of Jacksonville; great-grandson, Hunter Sexton; sister, Francis Goode of Orlando, FL; brothers, Charlie Frank “Buddy” Williams of Summertown, TN, and John David Williams of Key West, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his parents, Agee and Irene Williams.
Pallbearers will be Ronald McCulley, Johnny Dyden, Billy Lett, Ray Burgess, Chad Sexton and Parker Staton. Honorary pallbearer will be Charlie Hall.
Mr. Williams owned and operated Williams Service Center for over 50 years. In his retirement, he enjoyed his daily deliveries to the local dentists and their staff. He was an Army veteran serving as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne during the Korean Conflict. He had a great love of gospel music and was a great family man who loved being surrounded by his daughters, granddaughters and great-grandson.
