David Wayne Penland

David Wayne Penland, born on August 12, 1960, in Anniston, Alabama, passed away on September 10, 2024, at the age of 64. He was a beloved husband, father, paw paw, and friend, cherished for his warm heart and generous spirit.

He was a passionate outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. Most of all, David cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren, who brought immense joy and laughter into his life.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Toni Marie, and his son, Josh. David was a proud grandfather to James and Layla. He is also survived by six siblings and many nieces and nephews who will miss his guidance and love. David was preceded in death by his parents, James “Pug” and Patsy Penland, his twin brother Michael, and his children, Whitney Amber and Joseph Bradley.

The family invites friends and loved ones to a public visitation Friday, September 13,2024 from 12pm to 1pm, followed by a service at Gray-Brown Funeral Home with Troy Nichols officiating. Graveside service immediately to follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens.

Gray-Brown Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. David’s life and memory will be honored in a manner befitting the profound impact he had on those around him.
