
Funeral services for Mrs. Doris C. Lusk, 83, of Anniston, will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Rev. David Teel and Rev. Richard Crowe officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Lusk died Tuesday at her residence.
Survivors include daughter, Sherri Lusk-Scott and husband Robert of Oxford; son, Robert “Bob” Lusk of Alexandria; grandchildren, Michelle Mooneyham and husband Doug, Danni Lusk-Surre and husband Nick; great-grandchildren, Jack, Rebecca, John Allen, Melissa and Luke Mooneyham, Maddox Lusk-Lockaby; special caregivers, Deborah Batey and Maggie Smith and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Lusk is preceded in death by her husband, James “Pete” Lusk and sister, Juanita “Snooky” Gardner.
Pallbearers will be Randy Lusk, William Lusk, Robert Scott, Doug Mooneyham, Nick Surre, Ronnie Craig and Ted Towns.
Mrs. Lusk was a native of Hueytown and a resident of Calhoun County for most of her life. She was a member of McCoy United Methodist Church. She was an avid quilter and worked for the telephone company prior to becoming a homemaker.
