Dorothy is survived by her daughter Cindy Denton; her sons Jim Denton (Felicia); and Mike Denton (Donna); her sisters Diane Bedford Wilkerson Clevenger (Willie) and Pricilla Studdard; her grandchildren Lori Kramer (Eric), Heath Denton (Elise), Misty Smith (Marty),Chris Denton (Lorie), Brian Denton, Brittney Elderidge, and Abigail Ayers, her great grandchildren Kyle Kramer (Lindsey), Katelyn Kramer, Kenley Kramer, her great grandchild Payton Smith, her great grandchild Autumn Smith, her great grandchild Audrey Lambert, Dax Denton, Park Denton, Steevie Elderidge, and Sharlotte Elderidge and her great great grandchild Gatlin Smith; and several nieces and nephews and James Denton Sr. the father of Jim, Mike and Cindy.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband James Bentley; her parents Otis and Lala Mae Bedford; her sister Margie Davis and her brothers Clark Bedford, Danny Bedford and Charles Bo Bedford.
A visitation for Dorothy will be held Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary & Crematory, 1329 Wilmer Ave, Anniston, Alabama 36201, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM with Freddy Griffin officiating, Lori Denton Kramer speaking, and Katelyn Kramer praying. Burial will follow at Oxford Memorial Gardens with Cory Beck officiating at the graveside.
Serving as pallbearers are Eric Kramer, Kyle Kramer, Heath Denton, Darneal Bedford and Randy Studdard.
Dorothy loved children. She loved to play the piano and sing. She was inspired to always plant and grow roses. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
